This midcentury vintage cast metal bust mounted on marble was designed after Jean-Antoine Houdon’s sculpture Le Baiser Donné and manufactured by Austin Productions. It’s the sort of thing you might see in one if the extravagantly decorated apartments in Italian horror & giallo movies from the 60s and 70s, which I love. Condition is very good without any scratches or cracks. Dated 1967 on the reverse.
