Measuring a whopping 65” x 48”, this is the largest and best Victorian mourning veil I’ve ever had in my care. The hem and the length tell me this was a first mourning or deep mourning veil, which could have been shortened throughout the mourning period. At this size, it also would have been useful for draping mirrors or using as a decorative swag. This particular kind of crepe, treated with chemicals to create this distinctive texture and matte finish, was only used for mourning. It appears on hats, buttons, dresses; etc. and is your telltale sign the garments that you’re looking at were mourning clothes.
Condition is excellent without any rips or odors.

Insurance is automatically added to every order for a very small fee, via the service Route. You can waive this insurance by ticking the box at checkout, but if you choose to do so, I cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages. I STRONGLY recommend using the Route service: UPS & USPS are notorious for denying claims, especially if a package is lost or stolen rather than broken. Route only requires you to fill out an online form & they pay out immediately without fuss. I make no money on any insurance premiums collected- The service is provided only for your benefit.

Be advised that there's no way for us to know on our end what your customs fees, if any, might be: Shopify doesn't calculate or charge international buyers for customs fees at checkout.
