Turn of the century antique real photo postcard of a young Black girl presented as found in its original metal frame with slightly convex glass. Heavy wear: Decades-old water damage clouds the image and has fused it to the glass, causing cracks & discoloration. The green you see is from the frame, which is missing its stand.
I don’t usually buy photos in this condition, but she reminds me so much of the deceased aunt’s abandoned room in The Secret Garden, Miss Havisham’s decaying wedding decorations; the cobweb-covered pictures in all my favorite haunted house movies. It’s an aesthetic that big box stores try to emulate in Halloween decor every year. When it comes to those haunted house vibes, though, you simply can’t replicate the look, the feel, and the emotional weight that only comes with a 100 years of age.

Be advised that there's no way for us to know on our end what your customs fees, if any, might be: Shopify doesn't calculate or charge international buyers for customs fees at checkout.
