Charming Victorian wooden box c. 1870s with a Greek key motif, Athena on the lid, and faux marquetry veneer on the sides. Beneath the lid is a section divided into compartments for jewelry, sewing tools, or other smalls, then there is also a drawer. Condition is good overall save for a crack in the lid. I liked so much else about the box and got it at such a good deal, I just had to take it for the shop. I store all my own things in antique boxes rather than buying storage from big box stores, and they also make great platforms for vignettes. Measures about 11.5” x 8” x 5.75”.
