While French hair work memorials from the 19th century are common enough, what drew me to this one is the unusual composition featuring several different techniques: Wire work, plaits, and palette work. Better yet, the piece is labelled on the back, letting us know whose hair this is and when she died, 1871. Condition is very good except for one spot on the wooden frame. Measures 6” tall.

I STRONGLY recommend using the Route service: UPS & USPS are notorious for denying claims, especially if a package is lost or stolen rather than broken. Be advised that there's no way for us to know on our end what your customs fees, if any, might be: Shopify doesn't calculate or charge international buyers for customs fees at checkout. Customers are responsible for being aware of and paying any necessary customs fees your country may charge. I am not responsible for packages abandoned at the post office due to unpaid fees.
