The Witch’s Daughter | Victorian Hand Painted Plate
The Witch’s Daughter | Victorian Hand Painted Plate
A one-of-a-kind find: This Victorian plate is hand painted with a woman & owl on a crescent moon, after Frederick Stuart Church‘s painting The Witch’s Daughter, 1881. The plate is signed & dated on the back Eleanor Lake MacCollum, 1889. Looks like she was just a regular ghoul like us, but I found her grave: She’s buried at my beloved Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn.
