The Heart of Man: Either Temple of God or Habitation of Satan is one of my favorite devotional books and exists in many versions dating back to Catholic Jesuit images from the 1600s. It became popular in the 19th century via pastor Johannes Gossner, who published his own Evangelical spin on these Catholic images in 1812. He called the work Geistlicher Sittenspiegel- a “spiritual mirror of morality”- it depicts the consequences of one’s spiritual choices.

This listing is for ONE of ten small, turn of the century antique prints in contemporary frames. They appear to be from “The Heart of Man: Temple of God or Worskhop of the Devil,” translated by Rev. Chas. E. Edwards and Rev. V. Losa in 1913. Sourced from an ephemera dealer who specializes in various plates salvaged from books and presented in contemporary black and gold plastic frames with glass. Refer to photos for size: About 7.5” tall.

RETURN POLICY

All sales are FINAL. I strive to provide clear photos & accurate information for every item, & to anticipate any questions you may have. It is the buyer's responsibility to examine these photos clearly & read the description in full before purchasing. If you have any other questions or require further views, you've only to ask.

- No cancellations.

SHIPPING

- Orders ship once a week. If you need something by a certain date, please let me know before purchasing. I am almost always able to accommodate requests.

Insurance is automatically added to every order for a very small fee, via the service Route. You can waive this insurance by ticking the box at checkout, but if you choose to do so, I cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages. I STRONGLY recommend using the Route service: UPS & USPS are notorious for denying claims, especially if a package is lost or stolen rather than broken. Route only requires you to fill out an online form & they pay out immediately without fuss. I make no money on any insurance premiums collected- The service is provided only for your benefit.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

- We are happy to ship worldwide once again! Be advised that there's no way for us to know on our end what your customs fees, if any, might be: Shopify doesn't calculate or charge international buyers for customs fees at checkout. Customers are responsible for being aware of and paying any necessary customs fees your country may charge. I am not responsible for packages abandoned at the post office due to unpaid fees.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

- I do not do "holds," reserves, or payment plans. However, if you need help with financing, many safe & easy options are available to you at checkout, including Shop Pay.
