“No Cross, No Crown” is a popular Christian motto that appears in numerous denominations & simply means there are no heavenly rewards without faith in Christ. This unusual Victorian punch paper embroidery spells out the motto as a rebus puzzle, where a symbol stands for a word. Both the subject & frame are above average for this style of punchwork. Measures about 27” x 14” long. Condition is good overall with a small sunspot on the left side & some dampstains near the edge of the right side.
