At first glance you might think this is an Infant Christ, but it’s actually baby Mary- Maria Bambina as we Italians call her. This depiction of her emphasizes her innocence and Immaculate Conception- which is actually a concept the church introduced in the 19th century. Veneration of Maria Bambina took off in popularity around the same time in Italy.
The figure dates to around the 1960s and is made of wax and swaddled in satin garments with a metal halo. She is sewn to a plastic base (so no worries about her knocking around in shipping) and covered by an etched plexiglass dome. The figure measures about 7” tall; the overall case measures about 11” long and 6.75” tall.

Be advised that there's no way for us to know on our end what your customs fees, if any, might be: Shopify doesn't calculate or charge international buyers for customs fees at checkout. Customers are responsible for being aware of and paying any necessary customs fees your country may charge. I am not responsible for packages abandoned at the post office due to unpaid fees.
