Early 19th Century Polychrome Box with Theorem Pincushion
Early 19th Century Polychrome Box with Theorem Pincushion
Extremely rare, early 19th century polychrome box, circa 1830s-1840s. On the lid is a pincushion theorem painted with the owner’s name, Eliza, & a simple flower pattern. The box is only made of paper board & a cushion, so it’s a miracle it survived in such good condition. There is some very slight surface soiling from age, but overall it’s excellent. Approximately 5” wide.
