Stunning Victorian picture book in Middle English, a cheerful guide to Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales by Mrs. H. R. Haweis (Mary Eliza Haweis). I love that we have a female medievalist here! The book is filled with gorgeous full color lithograph prints reminiscent of Walter Crane. Condition is good overall with some fading to the cover and wear at the top of the spine.
