When literary queers collide: First US edition of John Addington Symonds’s biography of Percy Bysshe Shelley. Symonds was an English poet, literary critic, & cultural historian. Although married with children, his bisexuality was an open secret & he wrote treatises on the subject of “Greek love.”
The book is bound in plain brown cloth covers with red lettering. Condition is good overall with some edgewear There is a dampstain on the bottom lefthand corner of the back cover which does not affect the pages inside. The textblock is clean & tight.
