The “GR” on these antique silver sacred heart pendants stands for “grazia ricevuta” or “grace received.” They are votive offerings hung up in the home or at an altar in thanks for prayers answered. This one was in horrible shape when I found it: The backing board was rotting away and the heart was caked in white residue from age. I shined it up a little so you can see the beautiful silver and sewed it to a new backing board that I covered in real Victorian black cloth from the stash I have. I was able to reattach the original backing, which gives you an idea of how worn the piece was when I rescued it! Refer to photos for size.

I STRONGLY recommend using the Route service: UPS & USPS are notorious for denying claims, especially if a package is lost or stolen rather than broken. Be advised that there's no way for us to know on our end what your customs fees, if any, might be: Shopify doesn't calculate or charge international buyers for customs fees at checkout.
