Wonderful, early Victorian handwriting practice book belonging to Charles Wadleigh of Salisbury, MA, dated 1841 to 1842. So few people can even read cursive these days, I’m often asked how everyday people used to write so beautifully in the 19th century. They were taught in school and made to practice using an exercise book like this one. The directions for the exercises are printed on the back. The entire book is filled and there are lots of die cuts on pretty purple paper of various places around Boston and New England, like the State House and a view of Tremont Street and the old theater. Refer to photos for size and condition: Very good with some minor foxing.

Shipping Information

RETURN POLICY

All sales are FINAL. I strive to provide clear photos & accurate information for every item, & to anticipate any questions you may have. It is the buyer's responsibility to examine these photos clearly & read the description in full before purchasing. If you have any other questions or require further views, you've only to ask.

- No cancellations.

SHIPPING

- Orders ship once a week. If you need something by a certain date, please let me know before purchasing. I am almost always able to accommodate requests.

Insurance is automatically added to every order for a very small fee, via the service Route. You can waive this insurance by ticking the box at checkout, but if you choose to do so, I cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages. I STRONGLY recommend using the Route service: UPS & USPS are notorious for denying claims, especially if a package is lost or stolen rather than broken. Route only requires you to fill out an online form & they pay out immediately without fuss. I make no money on any insurance premiums collected- The service is provided only for your benefit.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

- We are happy to ship worldwide once again! Be advised that there's no way for us to know on our end what your customs fees, if any, might be: Shopify doesn't calculate or charge international buyers for customs fees at checkout. Customers are responsible for being aware of and paying any necessary customs fees your country may charge. I am not responsible for packages abandoned at the post office due to unpaid fees.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

- I do not do "holds," reserves, or payment plans. However, if you need help with financing, many safe & easy options are available to you at checkout, including Shop Pay.
